Flat faced breeds are prone to snoring due to their deformed mouth structure. If this is not the case a good reason is down to its weight. With the build up of fats on the dog’s airways this reduces the passage of air resulting in the snoring occurring. Also it may be due to a build up of mucus around the dog’s nasal passage causing a blockage of the dog’s sinuses. A full veterinary inspection will determine the cause and an appropriate treatment can then be administrated. Garlic and Echinacea supplement can help reduce any infections and sinus blockage and monitoring of your pets diet.
All puppies should begin weaning from their mother around 3-4weeks of age. They should begin lapping water and be encouraged to eat soft kibble or bran.
