Monavagher Fish Farm, Ballymoney, Antrim

A working farm producing brown and rainbow trout for restocking angling waters throughout Northern Ireland. Visitors can view the hatchery and ponds and see the various stages in the development of the fish.

Greenmount Nature Trail, Muckamore. Antrim

The Greenmount Nature Trail was established in 1979 to provide schoolchildren and the general public with a better understanding of farming and the countryside. Features include an information centre, picturesque lakes, farm animals, agricultural and horticultural crops and historic buildings such as an ice house and hermitage.


Ballyquinton Farm, Portaferry

Owned by the National Trust, showcasing to visitors environmentally friendly farming methods. A hive of activity for walkers and nature lovers.

Accessible all year from dusk to dawn, car park available, no facilities on site.


Ballywhisken Open Farm, Millisle, Newtownards

Rare breeds. Goats and sheep. Geese, bronze turkeys, bantams, hens, birds in a natural environment.
Wheelchair access limited.


Admission Free.

Watertop Open Farm, Ballypatrick, Ballycastle


Watertop offers a range of family activities from camping/caravan to pony trekking, pedal karts,  quad train, sheep racing and lots more! Situated in its own Glen within the Glens of Antrim, it is an ideal base to explore the Glens and the Causeway Coast.



Barrontop Fun Farm, Dunamanagh, Strabane


An open farm with a large variety of baby animals and rare breeds. Large indoor soft play area and bouncy castle, adventure playground, tearoom and gift shop. Optional extras include cart rides, face painting and pony rides.Pony trekking also available with no experience required. Our horses are very quiet and all treks have a guide. Great for all ages and abilities and a fantastic way to see the countryside. Panoramic views of the Sperrin Mountains.

The Ark Rare Breeds Open Farm, Newtownards


The ‘Ark’ Open Farm is owned and run by the Donaldson family who opened the gates to the farm in August 1990 with a view to educating visitors on the need for conservation and preservation of some of the rarest domestic animals from a bygone era. The farm is open all year round and is home to the largest variety of animals in Ireland. The Pets Corner and interactive Big Green Barn Farm is a hive of activity for children and adults alike: cuddling rabbits, chicks, guinea pigs and bottle feeding little lambs and kid goats. Special events are throughout the year and Christmas is no exception.

Clementsmount Fun Farm, Crumlin

Clementsmount Fun Farm offers an extensive range of activities for all the family, including; petting barn; lambs; baby goats; chinchillas; pony rides; pedal go-karts; crazy golf; trim trail; indoor soft play; plus our new activities the jumping pillow, the barrel train and now we have New Zorb Balls as an extra activity, they have an additional charge of £3 each. Zorbing will be operating at weekends & holidays – weather permitting. Clementsmount Fun Farm is the ideal spot to stop for lots of fun, for all the family. Children are sure to find lots to do and see whether it is wet or dry! They will get the chance to see, meet and even hold some of the animals that live on the farm.There is also a tea room and a souvenir shop on site. Parties, school tours, clubs and community groups are catered for.

October – Easter: Weekends only, unless pre-booked parties.

Brookhall Historical Farm, Lisburn

Farming museum with fishing lake, rare breed animals, gardens, farming implements from a bygone era. Ancient burial ground and 12th century church. Country farm tea house, and self catering cottages on site. Now also registered for weddings.Opening times: by private arrangement only – please phone to book.

Leslie Hill Open Farm, Ballymoney

Leslie Hill will provide everything a family needs for a great day out. It is a compact estate of arable and grassland, woodland, yards, paths and lakes. The layout of the estate has altered little in the last two hundred and thirty years; house and land has been carefully conserved by the Leslie family. There’s a lot to see and do; experience a living history as you wander through the Georgian Farmyard among farm machines, carriages and carts, of a bygone age.Leslie Hill is a unique place with open spaces and an air of peace and serenity. Visitors can walk through wooded avenues to the walled garden, along the paths to the lake and through idyllic parkland for a view of the 18th century house. Bring a picnic or call at the Tea Room. Children will enjoy barrel train rides, meeting the farmyard animals and exploring the playgrounds and old walled garden.Animals and birds include donkeys, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs, poultry, ornamental pheasants, ducks, geese, llamas and deer.We can’t always guarantee the weather but we will guarantee that you will leave this lovely place feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Tannaghmore Gardens Farm, CraigavonExperience old Irish gate, tree and sculpture trails. Rare breeds include Irish Moiled and Dexter cattle, Galway and Jacob Sheep, Saddleback, Tamworth and Gloucester Old Spot pigs. Large selection of ornamental fowl and waterfowl. Barn museum with agricultural exhibits.Tannaghmore is also home to the Kissing Gate. Legend has it that couples who kiss over the gate will get married within a year. Couples who have their wish fulfilled often return to pose for wedding photographs.Picnic area, barbecue and large children’s play area. Wheelchair accessible.

Finvoy Fun Farm, Ballymoney

Finvoy Fun Farm has a host of rare breeds such as llamas, a white peacock and everyday farm animals including silky and polish hens, turkeys, ducks, several goats, ponies and miniature donkeys. There’s even a chipmunk, a pair of reindeer and two pot belly pigs!All this plus a fantastic outdoor play park. Fortunately even if skies are grey there is lots to see and do at Finvoy Fun Farm with animal menagerie, indoor trampolines, a bouncy castle and an extensive soft play activity area. Finvoy Fun Farm also offers a tea-room, souvenir shop and pedal-carting.Children’s parties and group visits can be facilitated.

Streamvale is a family run dairy with so much to see and do!You can:-
